Check your iOS device settings- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV.
- Disable any "Safe Browsing" plugins, apps, or VPNs on your iOS device as they may prevent TV detection.
- Review your phone's Wi-Fi settings: go to "Settings" - "Wi-Fi" - select the network (tap the blue ⓘ icon) - and make sure "Private Address" is switched off.
- Verify that the app has permission to access devices on your local network. Go to "Settings" - "Privacy" - "Local Network" - and confirm the "Remote Control" app is allowed.
Check your router settings- If you have a dual-band router (e.g., 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), ensure both your TV and iOS device are on the same band.
- Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks, as they block internal network traffic and won’t allow your device to connect to a Smart TV.
- Make sure UPNP is enabled in your router settings.
- If you have multiple subnets, they can prevent connection to the TV.
- Restart your router to refresh the IP address of your TV. Unplug the router for 1 minute, then reconnect it. Do the same for other network devices like Wi-Fi extenders.
- If your router uses MAC address filtering, add your TV’s MAC address to the allowed list.
- Turn off Access Point/Client isolation on your router.
- Disable Wireless Isolation and IGMP Proxy on your router.
- Turn off any VPNs or proxy servers on your router or devices.
- Ensure IGMP is enabled on your router.
Check your TV settings- Confirm that your TV is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- In the TV's network settings, reconnect to the router to refresh the IP address.
- Ensure your TV has the latest software updates.
- Verify that the TV's clock is correctly synced with internet time. If the time is off by several hours, it could cause connection issues.
- Restart your TV by unplugging it for 1 minute, then plugging it back in.
- Note: It may take 30-60 seconds for your TV to be detectable by your mobile device after being powered on.
